Chest X-Ray Trainer, Hofer (ed.), 2nd ed., 2008, Didamed-Verlag, 29.90 euros
An excellent book for self-study! For example, the possible diagnosis for an X-ray image isn’t revealed right in the chapter heading; instead, you examine it under a topic such as “patchy changes,” which allows you to work your way toward the differential diagnoses on your own. Individual clinical pictures also appear from various perspectives across multiple chapters, which not only illustrates how differently they can present but also allows for immediate review. The individual chapters are rounded out with quiz pages. All in all, a successful book!
The only downside is that the didactic presentation has made it a little more difficult to look up information quickly. [The best way to do this is to use the index at the end of the book, according to the publisher].
