A total of 18 case studies involving pathological changes have been presented in such a way that readers can first examine the chest X-rays at their own pace and note their preliminary diagnosis before the radiological features and changes are successively highlighted and explained one by one. The case examples focus on changes in the anatomical region covered by the corresponding chapter, such as the skeleton, soft tissues, mediastinum, or lungs. The chest X-rays of ventilated intensive care patients reveal numerous changes in various organ regions and must also be analyzed for the correct position versus dislocations of foreign bodies, ensuring that even advanced users will find the material valuable. As such, they are particularly well-suited as a self-assessment exercise after working through the corresponding chapter in the book.
