For each region of the body, important or common pathological cases are also presented.  It also includes helpful information on contrast agent administration, managing reactions to contrast agents, radiation protection, and CT angiography. The advantages of dual-source CT and PET\/CT diagnostics are also explained using illustrative examples. At the end of each chapter, quizzes (picture puzzles and video clips) allow students to check their understanding and reinforce the material.  <\/p>\n<p>The chapter on technical fundamentals, the guidelines for managing contrast-mediated reactions, and the CT angiography protocols have been updated. For almost every CT image, a schematic diagram with a numbered legend helps with anatomical orientation.  Removable checklists with tables of standard values fit in any lab coat pocket.
